Recent El Monte Sagrado Autograph Review: "Close to the main intersection in downtown Taos, this vast complex is a jewel in special town. El Monte Sagrado has fine food, excellent features in the guest rooms, eco-friendly facilities including chlorine free pool and a variety of gardens and pools that bring calm and relaxation. Stayed in June 2010 and hotel is run by Marriott. This is third owner - no minus there. Stayed in a "deluxe room" which may be the least costly but it was large and had great amenities- fridge, large bath area with separate shower and tub, thermostat with complete control including humidity. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Have some neck and back problems, so really appreciate good bedding. Robes are provided in each room. Sun. to Thurs. cost less than Fri/ Sat. Architecture is outstanding using adobe and top quality wood and stone. Lots of artistic accents like turquoise stone inlays and cowhide on wardrobe doors. Truly a beautiful and restful place!"

    A short guide to Taos
